about

originally from a suburb of Columbus, Ohio, Clare (they/them) moved to the city to attend NYU and fell irrevocably in love with all it has to offer. they recently graduated from NYU Steinhardt with their Bachelor’s of Music in Vocal Perfomance/Musical Theatre, as well as a minor in Irish Studies. in addition to working and auditioning as an actor, they will return to NYU in the fall to pursue an MA in Irish and Irish-American studies, focusing on Irish drama and music as well as Irish-American participation in the creation of the uniquely American musical.

while they are extremely passionate and interested in all that live performance has to offer, Clare is particularly interested in new works. a devoted sibling to a composer from birth (see www.benjaminmartincomposer.com !!), collaborating, sandboxing, and creative experimentation have been a part of their life for as long as they remember—development feels like home. as a trained musician, they love the challenge that learning new scores quickly can bring as a natural consequence of the reading and development process. and, as a non-binary lesbian, they love the opportunities new works can give to bring more of their whole self to their work :)
if you are interested in connecting with Clare, you can use the button below or visit the “get in touch” section of the website! they are very excited to meet you :)

though they love to keep their brain and body busy with rehearsing, auditioning, and learning as much as possible about this vast and vibrant art form, Clare has occasionally been seen engaging in other interests. if you’ve already tried the rehearsal room with no luck, you might find them rolling a D20, watching the muppet show, attending a weeknight seisiún, reading a psychological thriller, or spending quality time with found and given family.
